Chase Gregory Alexander Simon, a 24-year-old male of African American ethnicity, tragically passed away on June 24, 2019, in Houston, TX. He was shot on June 7, 2019, in the Third Ward area of Houston and succumbed to his injuries a few weeks later. Despite the passage of time, his murderer has not yet been caught.
In the wake of this tragedy, Chase's mother, Syble Davis, has been actively involved in giving back to the community.
She hosts an annual toy drive in memory of her son, who was known for his love of toys and his ability to make things happen. The toy drive aims to help families in need celebrate the holidays and has grown to support 50 families. Additionally, Davis established the Chase "The Wizard" Simon Foundation to assist families who have lost loved ones to violence.

Despite the lack of arrests or significant breakthroughs in the case, the community has rallied around Chase's family, offering support and participating in the initiatives started by his mother.
