Kendrick Ruben, a 26-year-old African American male, was tragically shot and killed on June 28, 2019, in Dallas, Texas. The incident occurred around midnight near Thurgood Marshall Elementary School, specifically in the 9700 block of Ferris Branch Boulevard. Ruben was walking with a friend when an unknown assailant approached them and initiated an argument. The confrontation quickly escalated, and the assailant shot Ruben multiple times in the chest.
