On August 5, 2019, ZaVhon Brown, a 15-year-old boy from Converse, Texas, tragically died after being shot in the face with an AR-15 rifle. The incident occurred in the early morning hours at a home in the 7500 block of Gander Park. ZaVhon was rushed to San Antonio Military Medical Center in critical condition but succumbed to his injuries shortly after arrival.
