Shaksha Powell, a 31-year-old woman from Houston, Texas, tragically lost her life on September 6, 2019. She was fatally shot in a drive-by shooting incident on a southeast Houston street. Powell was walking near a vacant lot in the 5000 block of Idaho Street when an armed man approached and opened fire. While Powell managed to run away from the initial shooting scene, the gunman pursued her and shot her again, leading to her death.
