In the summer of 2014, a young man's life was cut short on the streets of Kansas City. Theodore Bass-Brooks, a 20-year-old Black male, was fatally shot on the evening of July 29, 2014. The incident took place in the 3600 block of Brooklyn Avenue, where police responded to reports of a shooting and found Bass-Brooks with gunshot wounds. Despite medical efforts, he succumbed to his injuries.
