Sergio Alexander "Alex" Galvan, a 20-year-old Hispanic male from Katy, Texas, tragically lost his life on November 30, 2019. The incident occurred at a party held at his girlfriend's home while her parents were out of town. According to reports, a heated argument broke out between Alex and his girlfriend's 14-year-old brother, who then grabbed a shotgun and shot Alex in the chest.
The single shot also injured Alex's girlfriend's sister in the neck.
The 14-year-old shooter's family claimed that the shooting was an act of self-defense, asserting that the teen was trying to protect his sister and himself from Alex. However, witnesses, including Alex's cousin, contradicted this claim, stating that the teen had been drinking and had threatened them earlier in the evening.
