On the night of December 18, 2019, at approximately 10:22 p.m., Houston police responded to a shooting incident on Braeburn Glen Boulevard near South Braeswood Boulevard in southwest Houston. Upon arrival, officers discovered Carl Simmons, a 30-year-old male, with a gunshot wound to the head. He was immediately transported to a nearby hospital, where medical personnel declared him brain dead.
