David Lavigne, a 59-year-old man from Baytown, Texas, tragically died on December 23, 2019. He was shot multiple times when he answered a knock at his apartment door. The incident occurred at the Sterling Bay Apartments on Quail Hollow Drive. Lavigne was found in the doorway of his apartment, suffering from gunshot wounds to his abdomen. He was airlifted to Memorial Hermann Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
