Tevin James Cooks, a 24-year-old African American man from San Antonio, Texas, was fatally shot on January 25, 2020. Cooks was killed during a disturbance on the city's West Side. According to police reports, Cooks ran from his house to engage in a fight, and during the altercation, Lesundre Tyrese Zacharie, a 19-year-old African American male, allegedly pulled out a handgun and shot Cooks in the upper torso. Despite attempts by EMS to save him, Cooks was pronounced dead at the scene.
