On July 1, 2020, Richard Torres Rodriguez, a 48-year-old Hispanic male, was fatally shot on the South Side of San Antonio, Texas. The incident occurred in the 900 block of Ripford Street, where an argument over money escalated into violence. During the altercation, Richard Rodriguez was shot in the chest and pronounced dead at the scene. A passerby, another man in his 40s, was struck by a stray bullet and transported to Brook Army Medical Center in serious condition.
