Elvi Vanessa Cervantes-De La Torre, a 38-year-old Hispanic woman, tragically lost her life on February 17, 2020, in Austin, Texas. She was fatally shot in the parking lot of the Canyon Trail Apartments on Grand Canyon Drive. The incident occurred around 11 p.m. when a group of approximately eight to ten Hispanic males were drinking in the parking lot.
