Rhonda Strang, a 24-year-old woman, was tragically murdered in October 1984. She was babysitting a three-year-old child, Amber Fisher, when both were killed. Their deaths were part of a series of murders committed by David Allen Lucas, a serial killer active in San Diego County, California, between 1979 and 1984. Lucas was known for his brutal method of killing—slashing the throats of his victims, which led to the case being dubbed "The Throat-Slash Murders".
