On October 23, 2014, Gary Wortham, age 25, was shot and killed in Kansas City, Missouri. The incident occurred near 34th and Central around 4:35 p.m. Witnesses at the scene reported that they saw a vehicle crash into a fence, and shortly thereafter, Gary Wortham exited the vehicle with visible gunshot wounds. Emergency responders were called, and Wortham was rushed to an area hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
