Osvaldo Chevy Renteria, a 17-year-old Hispanic male from Odessa, Texas, tragically died on May 16, 2020. Renteria was involved in a drug deal gone wrong when he was shot in the back by Desmond Tuggle, a 23-year-old man from Odessa. The incident occurred at the Jackson Square Apartments, where Renteria had allegedly handed a fake $100 bill to Destiny Barrera, Tuggle's girlfriend, in exchange for a quarter ounce of marijuana.
