On July 11, 2020, 16-year-old Christopher Alexis Rivera was tragically killed in a shooting near the Ronald Kirk pedestrian bridge in Dallas, Texas. Rivera, a Hispanic male, was involved in a verbal altercation with 21-year-old Carlos Vidal Mendez, which escalated into an exchange of gunfire.
