On August 4, 2020, Ryan Hodges, a 30-year-old male from Texas City, Texas, was fatally shot in the head. Emergency responders transported him to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Initially, the incident was reported as an accidental discharge, with claims that the firearm had fallen from a dresser and discharged upon hitting the ground.
