In the winter of 2015, tragedy struck in Kansas City, Missouri, with the death of 39-year-old Brandon D. Mitchell. On the afternoon of Monday, January 26th, police were called to the 2900 block of Monroe Avenue in the east of the city. There, they found Mitchell suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. He was rushed to a nearby hospital, but his injuries proved to be fatal, and he was pronounced dead.
The following day, authorities officially ruled Brandon D. Mitchell's death a homicide.
