Jarmel Jarmon-Joiner, a 34-year-old African American man, tragically lost his life on September 12, 2020, in Houston, Texas. Jarmon-Joiner was crossing the street in his wheelchair when he was caught in the crossfire of a gunfight involving members of the Black Disciples gang. The incident occurred around 2 a.m. near the North Freeway service road.
