On September 14, 2020, 28-year-old Jose Montes, a Hispanic male, was tragically killed while working as an armored security guard in Dallas, Texas. Montes was servicing an ATM at a neighborhood credit union in West Oak Cliff when he was approached by an unknown man wielding a rifle. The assailant, who was wearing a black jacket with the word "police" written on the back, demanded property from Montes.
