On October 9, 2020, Shamont Small, a 38-year-old man from Dallas, Texas, was tragically shot and killed. Police responded to a 911 call around 6 a.m. and found Small in a grassy area in the 2400 block of Arbuckle Court. He had suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene. The investigation into his death was extensive, with authorities searching for a suspect and offering a reward for information leading to an arrest.
