Christopher Ramirez Veloz, a 20-year-old male of Hispanic ethnicity, tragically lost his life on December 13, 2020, in Dallas, Texas. Veloz was found lying on the ground with multiple gunshot wounds at approximately 2:26 p.m. on that day. Despite immediate medical attention and transportation to a nearby hospital, he was pronounced dead upon arrival.
The incident was part of two connected shootings that occurred on the same afternoon.
The second shooting took place at the Ridgecrest Apartments, where 21-year-old Daniel Victor Barrera, Jr., was also found shot and later pronounced dead at the hospital. The Dallas Police Department determined that the two shootings were related.
During the investigation, homicide detectives identified 17-year-old Bryan Bernal Rivas as the perpetrator responsible for Barrera's death. Rivas was arrested and charged with murder, and his bond was set at $500,000. However, Rivas has not been charged with Veloz's murder, although the investigation into both shootings remains ongoing.
The Dallas Police Department continues to seek information regarding these incidents and has urged anyone with relevant details to come forward. Detective A.
