Raymond Carl Young, a 56-year-old African American male, passed away on February 2, 2021, in Austin, Texas. His death was the result of a homicide, as he was found lying face down with a gunshot wound on Manor Road in East Austin. Despite the efforts of medics from Austin-Travis County EMS, he was pronounced dead at the scene at 8:16 p.m. Witnesses reported seeing someone running away from the scene, which led to an investigation by the Austin Police Department.
