Keenon R. Culver, a 35-year-old man from Irving, Texas, tragically lost his life on February 21, 2021. Culver was found lying on the sidewalk with a fatal gunshot wound to his chest in the 4200 block of Reserve Way. He was quickly transported to Parkland Memorial Hospital, but unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries.
The investigation into Culver's death led authorities to identify 18-year-old Ghaza Harris, also known as rapper 2g.Kaash, as the primary suspect.
Harris was involved in a family altercation that escalated into a shooting, resulting in Culver's death. Following the incident, Harris turned himself in to the police and was charged with murder.
However, during the legal proceedings, a grand jury determined that the shooting was in self-defense, and Harris was not indicted. This decision brought a complex and emotional case to a close, leaving the community to grapple with the loss of Culver and the circumstances surrounding his death.
Culver's passing was mourned by many, and a celebration of life service was held in his honor at Eternal Rest Funeral Home in DeSoto, Texas. The case remains a poignant reminder of the impact of violence and the importance of community support in times of tragedy.
