Brittany Dawn Scruggs, a 29-year-old woman from Alvord, TX, tragically died on February 25, 2021. The incident was investigated by the Wise County Sheriff’s Office as a murder/suicide. According to reports, Brittany's boyfriend, Corey Cameron Brooks, 28, called his stepfather early that morning and confessed to shooting Brittany.
