On March 12, 2021, Jerod Jeffrey, a 21-year-old man from Schertz, Texas, was found shot to death in a gray sedan at the Sycamore Creek Apartments. The young man, affectionately known as "JJ," was described by his family as kindhearted, trusting, and hardworking. His dreams of getting married, having children, finishing college, and taking care of his mother were tragically cut short.
