Samuel Leonard, a 26-year-old white male, was a deputy sheriff in Concho County, Texas. On May 10, 2021, he was tragically killed while responding to a dog complaint in Eden, Texas. Leonard, along with fellow deputy Stephen Jones and an Eden city employee, was dispatched to the scene at around 8:40 p.m. The situation quickly escalated into violence, resulting in Leonard and Jones being fatally shot, and the city employee critically wounded.
