The incident occurred around 11 a.m. when the Falls County Sheriff's Office responded to a call about a shooting at a residence on Farm-to-Market Road 1240. Upon arrival, they found Ostwald with multiple gunshot wounds, and despite the efforts of paramedics, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
