Doris Ramirez, a 33-year-old woman from Dallas, TX, tragically lost her life on May 16, 2021. She was fatally shot at a social gathering in the 2000 block of East 8th Street in East Oak Cliff. Ramirez was taken to a local hospital but succumbed to her injuries the following day. The incident occurred around 2:30 a.m., and the suspect, Ricardo Navarro-Carvajal, fled the scene in a black Dodge Ram truck.

Navarro-Carvajal, who was last seen with close-cut hair, wearing a light-colored dress shirt, and blue jeans, is believed to have been in a dating relationship with Ramirez for approximately 13 years, on and off. Witnesses at the scene reported that he appeared agitated before he walked out of the house and shot Ramirez without remorse. Surveillance footage captured him fleeing the scene and pointing the gun at innocent bystanders.

Dallas police have been actively searching for Navarro-Carvajal, who is originally from Honduras but believed to be hiding in North Texas. Detective Eric Hearn emphasized the danger Navarro-Carvajal poses, especially considering he committed the crime in front of Ramirez's three young children. Crime Stoppers has offered a $5,000 reward for information leading to his arrest and indictment.

The motive and circumstances surrounding the shooting are still under investigation. Dallas police continue to seek information from the public and have urged anyone with knowledge of Navarro-Carvajal's whereabouts to come forward. The case remains open, and efforts to bring justice for Doris Ramirez and her family are ongoing.
