On June 13, 2021, Cameron Rodney Moore, a 22-year-old male from Arlington, Texas, was shot at an apartment complex in the 2100 block of Forest Hills Drive. When police arrived, they found Moore with a gunshot wound, and he was immediately transported to a local hospital for treatment. Unfortunately, despite medical efforts, Moore succumbed to his injuries 18 days later on June 30, 2021.
Witnesses at the scene identified a juvenile resident of the apartment complex as the shooter.
The next day, on June 14, 2021, the Arlington Police Department arrested the juvenile suspect and initially charged them with aggravated assault. However, following Moore's death, the charge was upgraded to murder. The suspect's name and other identifying information have not been released due to their age.
