Lavonte Craig Benford, a 19-year-old male of African American ethnicity, tragically lost his life on November 28, 2021, in San Marcos, Texas. He was found with a gunshot wound at The Cottages at San Marcos apartment complex and was pronounced dead at the scene. The San Marcos Police Department responded to the incident and initiated an investigation. An autopsy conducted by the Travis County Medical Examiner confirmed the cause of death as a gunshot wound.
