Anthony Hipp, a 26-year-old man from Katy, Texas, tragically lost his life on December 24, 2021, due to a road rage incident. Hipp was shot multiple times by an unknown assailant while he was outside his vehicle on Westgreen Boulevard near the Katy Freeway. The incident occurred when the driver of a dark-colored Chevrolet Equinox began honking at Hipp and his fiancée, and after a minor collision, the suspect exited his vehicle and opened fire on Hipp.
Despite being rushed to the
emergency room at Memorial Hermann Katy, Hipp succumbed to his injuries on February 6, 2022. The suspect, described as a Hispanic or Indian man with a medium build, fled the scene and remains at large. The Harris County Sheriff’s Office has been actively investigating the case, urging anyone with information to come forward.
The investigation has not yet led to any arrests or suspects being identified. The family of Anthony Hipp has been vocal about seeking justice for him, expressing their grief and frustration over the lack of progress in the case. They have also highlighted the dangers of road rage and the need for the community to help bring the perpetrator to justice.
