Johanna J. JoJo Sierra, a 17-year-old girl from Dallas, Texas, tragically died on February 6, 2022. She was fatally shot multiple times outside her apartment on McCallum Boulevard by her boyfriend, Armando Diaz Jr., who was 19 years old at the time. The couple had been arguing, and Diaz, who was intoxicated, shot JoJo 10 times with a modified fully automatic .45 Glock pistol.
Despite the efforts of the first responding officer, JoJo died at the scene.
Diaz fled the scene but turned himself in to the police four days later and eventually confessed to the murder. He was sentenced to life in prison, though he will be eligible for parole after serving 30 years.
