Nakeya Smith, an 18-year-old female of Black ethnicity from Dallas, TX, tragically lost her life on October 23, 2020. She was fatally shot at the Life at Stone Crest Apartments on E. Ledbetter Drive around 11:00 p.m. According to reports, the incident occurred during a major disturbance involving gunfire from two different groups.
