Anthony Wilson, a 53-year-old man from Tyler, Texas, was tragically murdered on March 26, 2022. His body was discovered the following day in a heavily wooded area near a creek. The investigation revealed that Wilson was shot by his roommate, Timothy Eugene Jones, 27, who later pleaded guilty to the murder. Timothy Jones was sentenced to 40 years in prison for his crime.
Edna Jones, Timothy's girlfriend, and Christian Navon Whitney-Polk, a 20-year-old from Tyler, were also implicated in
the case. Edna Jones was charged with tampering with evidence, while Christian Whitney-Polk faced similar charges. Both cases are ongoing.
The landlord of the house where Wilson and Jones lived reported seeing blood on Wilson's bed and smeared on the door, prompting the police to investigate. Timothy Jones and another man were seen carrying Wilson's body out of the apartment and into Wilson's Ford Explorer. The vehicle was later found with blood inside and outside, leading the police to Wilson's body.
The investigation also revealed that Timothy Jones referred to Wilson as "nosey" during the incident. Edna Jones was instructed to clean up the blood in the apartment, further implicating her in the crime. The body was eventually disposed of near a railroad bridge in a creek area.
The case has drawn significant attention due to the brutality of the crime and the involvement of multiple individuals in covering up the murder. The legal proceedings continue as authorities seek justice for Anthony Wilson and his family.
