Destiney Jassmund Carey, a 33-year-old African American woman, was tragically shot and killed on April 7, 2022, in Copperas Cove, Texas. The incident occurred around 12:30 p.m. when the Copperas Cove Police Department received a 911 call from the 1000 block of Hobby Road. Upon arrival, officers found Carey and another individual, 37-year-old Kevin Frazier, both suffering from gunshot wounds. Carey was pronounced dead at the scene, while Frazier was transported to a nearby hospital in stable cond ...
