On April 16, 2022, 19-year-old Taylor Evans, a young woman from Daingerfield, Texas, tragically lost her life in a shooting incident during an Easter weekend trail ride in Morris County, near Cason, TX. The event took place on FM 144, roughly six miles west of Daingerfield. Taylor was one of four individuals shot that evening, but she was the only one who succumbed to her injuries. She was taken to Titus Regional Medical Center in Mount Pleasant but later passed away from her wounds.
