On March 23, 2016, the bodies of Oneida Alanis Balderas Garza, a 44-year-old Hispanic woman, and Lourdes M. Elizondo, a 33-year-old Hispanic woman, were discovered in a residence in Rio Grande City, Texas. Both women were found bound at the wrists and had been shot execution-style in the head. The gruesome discovery was made at approximately 9:30 a.m. in the 200 block of Ebony Court.
