Connie Montez, a 38-year-old woman, tragically lost her life on September 4, 1981, in Houston, Texas. She was fatally shot during a robbery at the Buckhorn Lounge, located at 12238 Hempstead Road, around 2:30 a.m. The incident was classified as a capital murder case by the Houston Police Department .
