Ohara Farmer, a 21-year-old male, tragically lost his life on May 3, 2022, in Dallas, TX. He was found dead inside a vacant residence on East Waco Avenue with multiple gunshot wounds. Initially, police did not know his identity as he had no identification on him. However, using fingerprint analysis, they identified him the following day.
The investigation led to the arrest of Byron Jocania Davis, a 29-year-old male, who was charged with Farmer's murder.
Davis was apprehended on May 4, 2022, and it was revealed that Farmer had allegedly arranged a drug deal at the residence. According to reports, Farmer was supposed to exchange 40 pounds of marijuana and a glass container of THC wax for $70,000. Davis and another suspect, Malcolm Hicks, are believed to have shot Farmer and taken the marijuana.
The motives and circumstances surrounding the murder are still under investigation. Davis remains in custody on a $1 million bail, while Hicks was also charged with capital murder.
