Zillyana Nalaia Thornton, a 22-month-old girl from Waco, Texas, tragically died on May 11, 2022, after being shot inside her home. The incident occurred around 3 p.m. at a residence on Alta Vista Drive. Zillyana was found with gunshot wounds, and despite efforts to get her to the hospital, she passed away shortly after arrival.

The investigation revealed that the gun used in the shooting belonged to Elias Espinosa, a family member, who had left it unsecured on a couch. Espinosa was arrest ...
