Robert Levrier, Jr., a 22-year-old male of Hispanic ethnicity, tragically died on May 12, 2022, in Pharr, Texas. The incident occurred at Point Blank Sporting Goods, a popular shooting range in the Rio Grande Valley. According to the Pharr Police Department, Levrier rented a 9mm handgun and fired several rounds at the range's targets before turning the gun on himself and inflicting a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
He was subsequently transported to McAllen Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
A preliminary investigation by the Pharr Police concluded that the gunshot wound was intentional and not accidental. Surveillance footage from the shooting range confirmed that Levrier acted alone, and no other individuals were involved or injured in the incident. Levrier's social media activity prior to the incident included cryptic messages, such as "Sad Days" and "I'm not waiting for the world to wake up," which raised concerns about his mental state.
No arrests, suspects, litigations, or murder investigations were associated with Robert Levrier's death, as it was determined to be a case of suicide. The Pharr Police Department did not pursue any further legal actions or investigations related to his death.
