Jonathan Tyler Rodriguez, a 21-year-old male of Hispanic ethnicity from San Antonio, Texas, tragically lost his life on May 17, 2022. He was fatally shot in the parking lot of the Vintage of Oak Hill Apartments on the city's Northwest Side. Rodriguez was at the apartment complex to pick someone up when he was approached by an unknown suspect. During the encounter, the suspect shot Rodriguez multiple times, pushed him out of his vehicle, and then drove off.
Despite being rushed to the hospital in critical condition, Rodriguez succumbed to his injuries shortly after arrival.
The San Antonio Police Department launched an investigation into the incident, which they believe was a carjacking gone wrong.
