Latroyn Marell Swopes, age 25, was killed on July 16, 2016, in St. Louis, Missouri. His death was one of numerous incidents that contributed to the high homicide rates observed in the St. Louis area during that time. Swopes was found in Belleville, Illinois, which suggests he may have been moved from St. Louis to a different location following the incident.
