Chaddrick Hooker, a 32-year-old man from Dallas, Texas, tragically lost his life on July 17, 2022. Hooker was involved in a physical altercation with 53-year-old Darron Morgan near a vacant building on Lagow Street and Spring Avenue. The confrontation escalated, leading to an exchange of gunfire between the two men. Hooker was found by Dallas Fire-Rescue personnel and was given first aid at the scene before being transported to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
The preliminary investigation determined that Morgan was responsible for Hooker's death. As a result, an arrest warrant for murder was issued for Morgan. Once released from the hospital, Morgan was taken into custody and transported to Lew Sterrett Jail, where a magistrate would set his bond amount.
