On May 26, 2024, at approximately 12:15 p.m., Dallas Police responded to a shooting incident in the 12600 block of E. Northwest Highway. Upon arrival, officers found 28-year-old Carlos Glover suffering from gunshot wounds. He was immediately transported to a local hospital in critical condition.
The investigation swiftly identified 25-year-old Tyra Murrell as the shooter. She was arrested at the scene and initially charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon.
Tragically, on May 27, 2024, Carlos Glover succumbed to his injuries. Following his death, the charges against Murrell were upgraded to Murder. She remains in custody at the Dallas County Jail as the case proceeds under case number 081889-2024.
The relationship between Glover and Murrell, as well as the motive behind the shooting, have not been publicly disclosed by authorities. The community continues to seek answers as the legal process unfolds.
