Cheri Ann Singer, a 51-year-old woman of Caucasian ethnicity, tragically lost her life on October 1, 2022, in Carrollton, Texas. She was a dedicated preschool teacher at Holy Covenant Early Childhood Development Program, where she was deeply loved and respected by her colleagues and students. Her death was part of a devastating double murder-suicide that also claimed the lives of her 77-year-old father, William Roy Singer Jr., and her 53-year-old brother, William Randolph Singer.
The
incident occurred at the family home on Alto Avenue in Carrollton. Firefighters responding to a house fire discovered the bodies of Cheri Ann Singer and her father inside the home. Both had "obvious signs of trauma," indicating they had been killed before the fire started. The fire's cause remains under investigation, but authorities believe it was not the cause of death for the victims.
William Randolph Singer, the perpetrator, was found dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head inside the home. Police have described the incident as an "isolated family incident" and have stated there is no threat to the public. The motive behind the killings is still under investigation, and no arrests or suspects have been named as the case is considered a murder-suicide.
