On October 4, 2022, Jose Angel Bravo, a 41-year-old man from Los Fresnos, Texas, was found dead at a residence on the outskirts of Los Fresnos. Bravo, who was Hispanic, was discovered lying face down in the driveway of the home, with apparent gunshot wounds. Cameron County Justice of the Peace Pct. 4 Juan Mendoza Jr. pronounced him dead at the scene and ordered an autopsy.
