In the Bluff City of Memphis, Tennessee, the autumn air of October 17, 1904, was shattered by the sound of gunfire, marking the final moments of Patrolman Robert C. Jameson's life. A White/Caucasian male, Jameson was a dedicated officer with five years of service to the Memphis Police Department. On that fateful Monday, while at the Central Station for roll call, an alert came in that another officer was struggling to arrest an armed man on Mosby Street, near Quinby Street.
