In a tragic turn of events that unfolded in the Hickory Hill neighborhood of Memphis, a young man's life was cut short. Christopher Thomas, a 22-year-old, was fatally shot while sitting in his car on February 8, 2015. The incident took place in the parking lot of the A Game Bar and Restaurant on Winchester Road. Thomas was shot multiple times and succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
Another man who was a passenger in the vehicle was also shot and wounded.
The investigation into the shooting led Memphis police to 18-year-old Rodrick Frison. He was arrested and subsequently charged with first-degree murder in connection with Thomas's death. Frison also faced a charge of attempted first-degree murder for the passenger who was injured in the shooting. The wounded passenger was able to identify Frison as the assailant who fired into the car, killing Thomas.
During questioning, Frison admitted to his involvement in the shooting. He informed police that he and his brother had gone to speak with Thomas regarding an earlier altercation that had occurred at an AutoZone on Winchester and Hickory Hill. Frison confessed that both he and his brother fired shots into Thomas's 2012 Ford Mustang. Following his arrest, Rodrick Frison was the only suspect charged in the incident and was held in jail without bond, awaiting his court appearance.
