Derrick Deshaun Jones Jr., a 25-year-old African American male, was fatally shot on October 22, 2016, in Kansas City, Missouri. The incident occurred in a parking lot in the Westport area, specifically in the 4000 block of Mill Street, around 11:30 p.m. Jones was found suffering from gunshot wounds and was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
